Welcome to the Fort Leonard Wood Blood Donor Center website. As part of the Armed Services Blood Program (ASBP), the official United States military blood program, your donation serves as a vital link to military service members and their families worldwide.

The ASBP supplies blood to military members, their families, and Department of Defense employees across the nation and around the world. Currently, one of the program’s most important missions is providing support to the troops engaged in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Having an adequate supply of blood in forward areas can mean the difference between life and death for those injured in the line of duty. To ensure blood is available for those who need it most, the ASBP needs ongoing donor support.

Most of the blood collected by the Fort Leonard Wood Blood Donor Center will be shipped to Iraq or Afghanistan, supporting our warfighters and the forward medical treatment facilities in their healthcare mission. Some products may be shipped to Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston and Darnall Army Medical Center, Fort Hood to support the follow-on care of those service members injured in combat.
