Our Mission
The Akeroyd Blood Donor Center is tasked with the collection of quality blood, and blood products, in support of Brooke Army Medical Center (a Level One Trauma Medical and the only Department of Defense Burn Center in San Antonio, TX) as well as to meet the operational requirements of blood shipment to the combatant commands.

To be the premier provider of Department of Defense blood services and leader in providing quality blood products and customer service, implementing state of the art technology, and setting the standard of care.
